IZAR Sales Dynamo: Mali Phonpadith

Rising to the occasion, IZAR’s Mali Phonpadith set an early precedent in her Dale Carnegie “Sales Advantage” course. Winning top honors on the first night of class, she set the tone for the rest of the eight-week course, and raised the bar quite high for her 26 classmates. Not one to disappoint, at the end of the course Mali graduated at the top of her class receiving the “Sales Talk Championship” award and a Dale Carnegie book for outstanding performance in the class. Most notably, Ms. Phonpadith was also given the special honor of being invited to become a Dale Carnegie coach for future sales training courses. Congratulations Mali!

Rational Trivia Guru: Satheesh Mani
IZAR’s own Satheesh Mani (Rational Developer) qualified into the second to last round in “The Weakest Geek” contest sponsored by Rational and IBM at the Web Services Edge/JDJEdge 2002 East conference. Based on the hit show “The Weakest Link,” a roundtable of contestants matched wits on Rational trivia; all vying for the grand prize of $10,000 dollars. As a top qualifier, Mr. Mani was awarded both Rational® XDE Professional and IBM WebSphere® Studio Application Developer software. Congratulations Satheesh!

IBM acquires Rational Software

“Armonk, N.Y., and Cupertino, Calif. -- IBM (NYSE:IBM) and Rational Software Corp. (NASDAQ:RATL) today announced the two companies have entered into a definitive agreement for IBM to acquire the equity of Rational at a price of approximately $2.1 billion in cash or $10.50 per share.”
